Minutes From the Federation AGM Held On 26th April 2006

Halifax Central Library at 7pm

Attendance. Nadine Greenwood, Nancy Briggs, Leslie Godfrey, Sue Hodgson, Allan Randell, Iris ODonnell, Eric Sutcliffe, Mary Battye , Brian Battye, Rita McWhirter, Margaret Coupe, Bill Stanford, Don McLean, Sheila Whiteley, Doris Maden, Val Barker, Chris Lates, Ann Durkin, Mary Ashworth, Stanley Ashworth, Heather Pitt, Richard Guillot, Barbara Gunston, Keith Stacey, Audrey Waterhouse, Ruth Rider, Sue Molineux, Ken Smith, Vera Benney, E Grimberg, Heather Terry, Bert Swaine, Pat Kenny, G Cameron, J Wilson, V Brown. Iris opened the meeting and welcomed everyone, and then went on to say that she and some others were not happy with the way nominations had been brought to the table, but the management team had not had any input. A discussion took place and it was decided that that election of the new management would go ahead but names could be added from the floor if necessary.

Last years AGM minutes were passed as a true record.

Scrutinisers for the election were chosen from none voting members (those not a representative of a group) Pat Kenny and Vera Benny.

The following members were elected to the Management team and were proposed and seconded by the members who were present.

The roles that each of the area observers are to play will be decided at the next management meeting.

Audrey Waterhouse proposed a vote of thanks to Keith Stacey who is leaving Calderdale to be nearer to his family who live in the South, he has been a valued member of the Fed and also as a Board member. We all wish him well for the future.

A buffet and a slide show of photos taken over the year at different events followed.
